Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal greets Delhi on Guru Gobind Singh’s 350th Birth Anniversary

On the behalf of Delhi Government, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wished Delhities on 350th Prakash Utsav (Birth Anniversary) of Sahib-E-Kamaal Badshah Darvesh Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

CM Kejriwal further urged people to follow the preachings of Guru Sahib on tolerance, humanity and equality.

Born on December 22 1666, Guru Gobind Singh was the 10th Sikh Guru. He founded the Sikh army called Khalsa. Legend says Guru Gobind Singh won the Battle of Chamkaur in 1704 where he fought with his army of 40 sikh against 10 lakh Mughal armymen led by Wazir Khan, where he famously said, “Chidiya naal mai baaz ladawa, gidad toh mai sher banawa, sawa lakh se ek ladawa, tab Guru Gobind Singh naam kahawa.” (I will make sparrows fight hawks, I’ll transform jackal into a lion, I’ll make one might with 1 lakh, then only I’ll call myself Guru Gobind Singh”. Guru died on 18 October 1708 at an age of 41 in Nanded.
