Women’s Day 2017: Government shows commitment for women healthcare

This International Women’s Day, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare shows its commitment to health care of women –

  • Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) for quality antenatal care for all pregnant women
  • Programme for universal screening for breast and cervical cancer rolled out in 100 districts
  • Universal screening of HIV/AIDS for all pregnant women
  • Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK) provides free care for child birth in all public hospitals
  • “Kilkari” weekly audio message to pregnant women & parents of infants
  • Supports national campaigns, Chalo Banaayein Swasth Bharat (Let’s Build Healthy India), Swachh Bharat, National Health Mission and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana
